Lorelai: Luke and I may not be married or engaged, or anything like that, but you are part of my family, and whatever happens between me and Luke, you always will be.
April smiles.

April and Lorelai hug.

Luke: what’s the matter?
Kirk: it’s okay you don’t want to hear it.
Luke: yeah I do.
Kirk: are you sure?
Luke: yes.
Kirk: okay, well Lulu, well she’s umm……well she’s pregnant.

Lindsey: hi, my name’s Lindsey. I love sleeping in until noon, I think chocolate is the best medicine, and I’ve been married once before.
Dean chuckles.
Dean: hi, my name’s Dean. I like to get up early, and watch the sunrise. I like coffee, and I’ve been married once before.
Lindsey: I think this is the starting of a beautiful relationship.
Dean: so do I.

Rory Voiceover: so maybe life never goes the way you want it to, and maybe you cry, and maybe sometimes your sad, but what happens if you find a fleeting moment of happiness? Don’t you want to hold on to it forever? Cause once you’ve had a taste of perfection, nothing ever taste the same. So maybe when I’m with Jess, and I have those fleeting moments of happiness, I don’t want to give them up.
Logan opens the door quietly. He sets his bag down by the door and goes into the living room. He looks at the person sleeping on the couch. It’s not Rory. He tip-toes to Rory’s bedroom, and looks at her bed, it’s not Rory. He sees that the back door is open he goes outside and Rory is sitting on the porch swing staring at the sun-rise.
Logan: Hey Ace.
Rory looks over at Logan.
Rory: Hey Huntzberger.
Logan sits down next to Rory, and they kiss.
Logan: did you miss me?
Rory: oh you know it.
Logan: what did you do while I was gone?
Rory: I started moving forward in my business.
Logan smiles.
Logan: really?
Rory: yep, I’m pretty excited.
Logan: so your working with Jess, and Paris?
Rory: no.
Logan: your not working with Paris? Your just working with Jess.
Logan’s smile turns into a frown.
Rory: I’m not working with either of them.
Logan: what? How come?
Rory: well Paris is on vacation, and Jess isn’t speaking to me.
Logan: why?
Rory: oh it’s a long story, but I guess that’s what happens, best friends fight.
Logan: I thought Lane was your best friend?
Rory: she’s my friend, and she was my best friend, but she got married. Your husband kinda turns into your best friend, then she got pregnant, and had two babies, she doesn’t have time for best friends.
Logan: well what about Paris?
Rory: she’s got Doyle, and trust me, her and Doyle are suppose to be best friends.
Logan nods his head.
Rory: I know how you feel about Jess, but I like him, he will always be my best friend.
Logan nods his head again.
Rory: and you’ll be my boyfriend.
Rory and Logan kiss.
Rory: what did you do while you we’re gone?
Logan: well I tried talking my dad into giving me a little bit longer than a week vacation once a month, but he shortened it. I now have 4 days.
Rory: what? Why?
Logan: because I even asked.
Rory: okay.
Logan: yeah.
Logan’s phone rings. Logan looks at the caller ID, and answers it.
Logan: hey. hold up Josh. What? Right now? I’m on way.
Logan hangs up his phone.
Rory: what’s going on?
Logan: Honor’s having the baby.
Rory: what!
Logan: Honor’s having her baby.
Rory: oh my gosh. We have to go.
Logan: right now. Let’s go.
Rory: we have to get a present.
Logan: we don’t even know the sex of the baby.
Rory: that’s okay we’ll get it something yellow.
Logan: awww unisex. Thinking ahead. You got me there.
Rory and Logan run through the house to the front door. Rory grabs her car keys. Logan opens the door, and Jess is standing there.
Logan: oh Jess.
Rory looks over Logan’s shoulder.
Jess: your back.
Logan: your back.
Logan gets out of the house and looks at Rory.
Logan: we gotta go.
Rory walks past Jess.
Rory: okay, do you think there is a Babies R’ Us near…….
Rory stops.
Rory: wear is she having the baby?
Logan: The Hartford Hospital.
Rory: how come? Doesn’t she live like somewhere far off?
Logan: well she was in town visiting mom and dad.
Rory: oh okay, I think there’s a Babies R’ Us in Hartford.
Jess just watches as Logan and Rory get into Rory’s car and leave. Jess sighs. He shuts Lorelai’s front door and starts walking back towards town.

A FEW HOURS LATER

Rory is sitting in a chair looking at a magazine. Logan comes and sits down next to her.
Rory: any news?
Logan: nope, they said she’s still at 3 centimeters..
Rory: oh wow, we still have a while.
Logan: yeah.

Lorelai and Luke are laying in bed. Lorelai yawns.
Lorelai: what time is it?
Luke looks at the clock.
Luke: 11:23.
Lorelai: oh I’m late for work.
Luke: so am I.
Lorelai: I guess we should get dressed and go to work.
Luke: I guess so.
They continue to lay there.
Lorelai: on the count of three. One. Two. Thr…..
Luke kisses her.
Luke: I have a better idea, let’s just stay in bed.
Lorelai: I like you idea much better.
Luke and Lorelai kiss again.
Luke: how about I make your breakfast?
Lorelai: oh you know me so well.
Luke gets up.
Lorelai: does that involve you getting up?
Luke: well for ME to make you breakfast. Yes.
Lorelai sighs.
Lorelai: okay hurry.
Luke smiles.
Luke: don’t worry, you have Paul Anka to keep you company. PAUL ANKA!!
Paul Anka comes barreling up the stairs and topples on to the bed. He starts to lick Lorelai’s face.
Lorelai: oh your right, he even kisses like you.
Luke gets up and goes down stairs. He sees the person laying on the couch. He goes over and pokes the person. Doyle sits up.
Luke: Doyle? What are you doing here? I thought you we’re suppose to be on vacation in Florida?
Doyle: I was, but Paris and I got into a fight, and I really have some important questions for Rory.
Luke: so where’s Paris?
Doyle: in Florida.
Luke: you left your pregnant girlfriend alone in Florida?
Doyle: yeah?
Luke: okay, I feel bad for you.
Luke heads to the kitchen.
Doyle (yelling): is Rory here?
Luke (yelling back): Nope had to go to Hartford, but she’ll be back tonight.
Doyle (yelling again): Okay thanks.
Doyle leaves. April comes out of her room. She’s fully dressed. She looks at Luke who is still in his pajamas.
April: dad?
Luke turns around.
Luke: oh hey April.
April: what are you wearing?
Luke: pjays.
April nods her head.
Luke: where are you going?
April: oh just to the diner.
Luke: oh okay, could you tell Ceaser that I’m not gonna be in today.
April: are you okay?
Luke: yeah, I’m just spending the day with Lorelai.
April: well that’s nice.
Luke: yeah. You want some breakfast?
April: no, it’s almost lunch.
Luke: oh okay. See ya later.
April leaves.

April walks into the diner. Ceaser attacks her.
Ceaser: April good to see you, where’s Luke? Is he with you?
April: it’s good to see you too Ceaser, dad’s not coming in, he’s taking a sick day.
Ceaser huffs, and goes back to the kitchen. April and a boy at the counter laugh. April sees him and goes over.
April: you look new around here?
Adam: yeah.
April: do you have a name?
Adam: yeah.
April: can I know it?
Adam: if you want to.
April: your really a pain in the butt.
Adam: my names Adam.
April: mine’s April.
Adam: nice to meet you April.
April: nice to meet you too Adam.
Adam looks around.
Adam: so what’s fun to do around here?
April looks around.
April: well nothing real fun, but I could give you a tour, and I’m sure with your attitude, you could find something illegally fun to do.
Adam smiles a crooked smile.
Adam: I’m sure I could. But I don’t have a tour guide.
April rolls her eyes.
April: I guess I could do that.
Adam: really. You?
April: no Snoopy.
Adam smiles.
Adam: you know your pretty cool.
April: your not so bad yourself.
April stands up.
April: you ready?
Adam: as ever.
April and Adam leave.

Jess is upstairs cleaning. There’s a knock. He opens the door. It’s Cecilia.
Jess: Cecilia?
Cecilia: hey Jess.
Jess: what are you doing here?
Cecilia: I’m leaving, and I thought I should say good bye.
Jess looks at her strange.
Cecilia: I know I said good bye to our relationship about a week or so ago, but I’m saying good bye to you this time.
Jess: okay?
Cecilia: good bye Jess, thanks for teaching me something, and making my heart stronger.
Jess tilts his head.
Jess: I guess your welcome.
Cecilia leaves. Jess shuts the door.
Jess: that was just disturbing.

THAT NIGHT

Lorelai and Luke are still in bed.
Lorelai: you know I don’t think I’ve spent the whole day in bed since……..forever.
Luke smiles.
Luke: I don’t think I’ve ever spent the whole day in bed period.
Lorelai gasp.
Lorelai: what? You’ve never just laid in bed all day cause you need time?
Luke: nope.
Lorelai: what about when you we’re a kid, and you got sick? You didn’t lay in bed?
Luke: nope.
Lorelai sighs.
Lorelai: your like a big new puppy. You haven’t experienced anything.
Luke kisses Lorelai’s forehead.
Luke: well I’m experiencing love.
Lorelai looks up at Luke.
Lorelai: oh I love you.
Luke and Lorelai kiss.

April and Adam sit down in the gazebo.
April: and that is the lovely Stars Hollow.
Adam: it’s bigger than I thought it was.
April: yeah. I thought the same thing.
Adam smiles.
April: what?
Adam: I’ve learned a lot about you, just being here with you today.
April: how have you learned anything about me? I didn’t talk about myself.
Adam: but you did.
April: I did?
Adam: not flat out, but in a way. I found out that you don’t like chocolate cake, you like to read, your not the biggest fan of Babette’s cat Apricot.
April: I didn’t tell you any of that.
Adam: I know, I learned it from listening.
April looks shocked.
April: you actually listened to what I was saying?
Adam: yeah. You’re pretty interesting.
April looks down.
April: I’m not that interesting.
Adam takes his finger and lifts up April’s head.
Adam: I think you’re the most interesting person I know.
Adam leans in for a kiss. They kiss. April pulls back.
April: I know I’m not good at that.
Adam smiles.
Adam: your better at it than you think.
Miss Patty steps out of the dance studio.
Miss Patty (yelling): Adam? Is that you in the gazebo?
Adam turns around.
Adam (yelling): yeah Aunt Patty.
Miss Patty (yelling): who’s that with you?
April (yelling): it’s me Miss Patty. April.
Miss Patty walks over the gazebo. She sees April and hugs her.
Miss Patty: it’s good to see you honey.
April: you too Miss Patty.
Miss Patty: did you give Adam here a tour of Stars Hollow, so I don’t have to?
April: yeah, I have that under control.
Miss Patty: good. Well it’s dark out here, so I guess we better be getting home.
April nods her head. Miss Patty looks at Adam.
Miss Patty: why don’t you walk April home Adam?
Adam: okay, I’ll be back as soon as I’m done.
Miss Patty: okay. No rush.
Adam and April head towards Lorelai’s house.
Adam: sorry about that? My Aunt Patty is a little crazy.
April: oh no way, I’ve known her a while. She’s had an awesome life.
Adam chuckles.
Adam: you find that awesome?
April: yeah, don’t you?
Adam: not really.
April smiles.
April: but I’m sure there’s a lot of things I find awesome that you don’t.
Adam: well I don’t find bugs awesome, I find them disturbing.
April: I feel the same way. I love ice cream. I think ice cream is awesome.
Adam: so do I. Have you ever tried dried ice cream?
April: yeah, it’s really weird.
Adam: I thought so too.
April smiles. Adam looks ahead.
Adam: I guess our feet we’re walking faster than our mouths we’re moving, cause I’m assuming that, that is your house.
April glances ahead.
April: yeah we’re almost there.
Adam and April stay in silence until they reach the front steps of the house.
Adam: thank you April, I had a good time.
April: so did I.
Adam and April kiss again.
Adam: yeah your pretty good at it.
Adam leaves. April watches.

Jess is eating peanut butter out of a jar. There’s a big black stuffed bear next to him.
Jess: ugh. It’s so lonely living alone.
There’s a knock at the door. Jess jumps up and answers it. It’s Kirk.
Jess: oh hey Kirk.
Kirk: hi Jess.
Jess sits back down and starts to eat the peanut butter again.
Kirk: you don’t look very happy to see me.
Jess: I thought you we’re someone else. What are you doing here?
Kirk: I’m looking for Luke.
Jess: he lives with Lorelai now.
Kirk: okay, thanks Jess.
Kirk leaves.
Jess: I should have had him stay. At least I would have been talking to a real person, and not a stuffed animal.

Rory and Logan are sitting in the waiting room. Rory is asleep on Logan’s shoulder. Josh comes out.
Josh: the doctor finally said that she moved to 4 centimeters.
Logan sighs.
Josh: it’s gonna be a long night, you guys should go home.
Logan: are you sure?
Josh: yeah your mom and dad left a long time ago.
Logan looks at Rory.
Logan: she looks so peaceful I don’t know if I could wake her.
Josh: I’ll do it for you. RORY!!!
Rory jumps.
Rory: yeah. I’m up. What’s going on?
Logan: God Josh.
Josh: you said you wanted her up.
Logan: yeah I would have found an easier way.
Josh: I’m sure.
Josh leaves.
Rory: did Honor have the baby?
Logan: no. She’s only at 4 centimeters.
Rory sighs.
Rory: maybe we should go home, and come back tomorrow.
Logan: sounds good.
Rory: let’s tell her bye though.
Logan: okay.
Rory and Logan walk into Honor’s room. Honor’s face lights up when she sees Rory.
Honor: hey Rory.
Rory: hey Honor.
Rory bends over Honor’s bed to hug her.
Rory: how’s it going?
Honor: not good. Having a baby is not fun.
Rory giggles.
Rory: I’ll remember that for future references.
Honor laughs.
Honor: your funny Rory.
Honor looks at Josh.
Honor: isn’t Rory funny?
Josh looks at her weird.
Honor (in an angry voice): isn’t she funny JOSH!!
Josh: oh yeah, real funny. Your so funny Rory.
Josh eyes Logan.
Logan: well Honor, we’re gonna go.
Honor: your leaving?
Logan: yeah, it still looks like it’s gonna be a while.
Honor: your probably right.
Honor puts her head down. Josh moves over to Rory.
Josh: if she cries again. I’m leaving.
Rory punches Josh in the arm.
Josh: that’s what she did last time she cried.
Rory looks at Honor.
Rory: but don’t worry Honor, we’ll be back tomorrow.
Logan: oh yeah, bright and early.
Honor lifts her head.
Honor: you promise?
Rory: pinky.
Rory wraps her pinky around Honor‘s.
Honor: I like you Rory.
Rory: I like you too Honor.
Rory and Logan leave.
Rory: never make me take the medicine she is on.
Logan: I don’t think it’s medicine.
Rory: okay, let me rephrase never let me act like that.
Logan: okay.
Logan puts his arm around Rory’s neck, and they leave the hospital.

Rory and Logan walk in quietly. Doyle jumps up and runs to the door.
Doyle: hi Rory. How have you been? Where we’re you? Did you happen to talk to Paris? Did she tell you about the baby? Did she tell you what happened? Did she?
Rory looks at Logan. Logan opens the door. Rory grabs Doyle by the hand and pulls him outside the door.
Rory: good night Doyle.
Doyle: you can’t kick me out.
Logan shuts the door.
Doyle: they just kicked me out.
